Agricultural land is quoted per acre; plots are quoted per square yard. Mixing them up is how buyers overpay.
The conversion that matters One acre is 4,840 square yards (and 43,560 square feet). So a plot at ₹8,000 per sq yard is ₹3.87 crore per acre — an order of magnitude above farmland nearby. That gap is the cost of approval, roads and immediate buildability.
